For this blog I would like to share with you My favorite Movie! I have watched and loved so many different movies in my life ever since I was a little kid, up till now, where I watch movies I would have never been able to watch and understand. I’ve watched so many movies I can barely even count them. Lucky for you I’m only going to share one movie (my favorite movie, and why I really liked it compared to other movies.
The movie I’m going to tell you about is a movie I watched called Taken. Taken was a movie about a spy who worked for the Government who’s daughter gets kidnapped, and sold into human trafficking. The father has to travel across France following clues to get his daughter back, on the way he gets revenge on the people who kidnapped her. (usually in gruesome ways). The main reason I liked this movie was because it was about a retired government spy who uses major clues and skills from his old career to track down his daughter . It is exiting with action, and a major amount of violence. I also love the reality that was put into the movie, and how they set up there own Albanian gang. They also set it up with certain government workers in France who help the gang in order to collect money for themselves. I also like how the main character in the movie had the luck he did. he was handcuffed to a pipe in one scene but when no one was looking he managed to escape by busting the pipe off the ceiling due the age of the ceiling and how weak it was for it to be holding onto a pipe like it was. And I loved how at the end there was a major battle scene. During the scene the main character jumps onto a yacht and sneaks around taking out guards while he’s at it. I don’t want to tell you much more about the movie but I hope you get the idea.
I described that movie to tell you what kind of movie’s I like and that was a perfect example. It had everything I need action, violence, a skilled protagonist, and luck. Those 4 things make up the perfect movie to me.

I believe that the name “Redskins” is not offensive. If it was what people voted for the name of the team to be LET THEM KEEP IT! “Redskins” has been the name for the Washington’s team for years! Since 1937 the name for Washington D.C has been the Redskins.
The name redskins were originally meant to honor the dead Native American coach William Henry Dietz. Talk about offensive! Imagine if you were the average Native American living in Washington D.C you take pride in your team, and the culture behind it you’re cheering on your team with great pride, then all of a sudden some people go on T.V and complain about the redskins name. You and your former tribe are all okay with the name; you even take pride in it. But 10% of native Americans don’t want the name, Why is it fair for the 10% to get what they want and the other 90% to just be left out and unhappy.
I don’t know what you call it, but I call it unfair, and unjust. I just don’t like the idea of taking away what over 300,000 take pride in, just so some small minorities’ can feel a little bit better. well guess what, all you people out there who sit and cry about a name for a football team that has been there longer than you’ve been alive, created to honor a dead Native American coach. All you people who want to change it are so focused on trying to create a political correct society that your too busy ruining it for everyone else. Why don’t you all focus on trying to build schools in Detroit where conditions are bad and African Americans are living like there in a 3rd world country. You could make conditions better there instead of trying to make it worse for everyone who is already have problems to deal with.

For years now I’ve always wondered what the truth was. It was this need I had inside, to know what was going on. I’ve always had this feeling. The urge to know more, to know my purpose here on earth. It’s always been there, ever since I could remember. I want to share with you all my quest for the truth.
When I was small I always needed to know what was going on. It was just a habit, I HAD TO KNOW what exactly was happening and I always questioned a lot of things. Well when I was 8 years old I had the perfect opportunity for knowing and questioning when the 2008 election rolled around. Now I have to admit when I was 8 my logic was pretty simple, I mean come on nobody can really understand current events and politics when there 8! So my dad just explained it to me the best he could. Now naturally my dad being conservative he was 100% against Obama, so I was too. I constantly talked about the election saying how McCain needed, Obama would raise our taxes, etc. Even years after the election I was always saying to my third and fourth grade teacher’s about how Obama would raise the taxes. (which he has done on several occasions) I remember my teachers would get tired of hearing me make my statements that Obama was a bad president. After fourth I finished fourth grade I went into fifth grade. During most of 5th grade I kind of ignored politics. I always got interested when I heard the news about the rebellion in Libya. but never interested in it enough to look on the news myself. Well one day that all ended when I started hearing about the earthquake in Japan in 2010-2011 I had to know more! so I switched on my radio and found Micheal Savage and his radio show the Savage Nation. From that day on my life changed! I started listening to conservative talk radio all the time. I started listening to Mark Levin, Sean Hannity, Micheal Savage, and others. I went through 5th, 6th, and 7th grade listening to conservative talk radio. I’ve had debates with my step dad about politics (sometimes won, sometimes lost). As I went through politics I knew I had to keep looking to find the truth.
So I kept going, I got interested in religion and normally coming from a Christian background I went with that first, but it didn’t last long because I wanted to find more. I got myself a Qur’an (Muslim bible) and the book of latter day saints (Mormon bible). I have to admit, I never touched the book of latter say saints, but I read a little bit of the Qur’an. I gave up fast on that, to be honest I don’t like the Qur’an so I just don’t agree with the stuff in the book. So I just went back to the bible. I found this book called The Purpose Driven Life. It was a book to find God in 40 days. I read that book and found God in my life. After that I searched through the internet and I found out meditation, the art of connecting with your inner self. Right now my goal has been to connect with myself spiritually, and to connect with Jesus Christ more and involve him into my life.
That has been my journey to find the truth so far. Right now my goals are set on Improving myself spiritually. This may take a few years but im ready for it. After im done with this step in my life what could be next? will I improve myself spiritually even more? I’m out of idea’s but im sure in the future my next step will come to me.

Picture books are important in the development of a child. They were important in my development also. A few of my favorite picture books were all the places you will go, the cat in the hat, and there’s a wocket in my pocket. as you can see I was a big dr. suess fan, still am in a way! I’m going to share to you why I loved these books and the impact they had on my life.
First book I want to tell you about is there’s a wocket in my pocket. There was never really any meaning in that book for me, it was pretty much just a lot of fun. I like how dr. suess rhymed all the strange words together and put them in random places. when i was little that was actually pretty entertaining. I Used to just read this book to myself sometimes I would read it to my parents. I started really reading this book in about 3rd grade. I used to read it to my dad over the phone to my mom in the car etc…. I can’t say that book had a real big effect on my life. It possibly could have boosted my reading skills down a little when I was still a bad reader, that’s all I can think of. Let’s move onto my 2nd favorite picture book, the cat in the hat!
My second favorite book the cat in the hat was real interesting. (In case you don’t know) the cat in the hat is about a talking cat who wears a big red hat and invades on these too kids’ lives, they have a bunch of fun, then the cat goes too far and wrecks the house. he soon comes back, and cleans it all up, leaving everyone happy and relieved as there mom comes home to a clean house. I’m not quite sure exactly what the morale of the story is. It could be a variety of many things. It may have something to do with trust. How they were sure they were in trouble because of the cat, then he came back and cleaned everything up. This book has kind of stuck with me my whole life, my mom used to read it to me when I was little and just read it to myself from then I still read it a little here and there. The effect this book had on my life was just something to look back to when times weren’t too well. Sometimes when I was sad I would just read this book and it cheered me up a little bit. The feeling it brought back of all my memories packed into that one book. It just saved my sanity a few times here and there.
My favorite picture book, oh all the places you will go. Is a great book, my mom read it to me when I was little and it got me thinking? Where will I go when I grow up? I was 4 then. And here I am now 13 years old and still thinking about what I’ll do when am older. The morale of that story was you can be successful in life. But you can also fail miserably. For example, this one man i know used to be a postal worker. He had a pretty decent life, and made pretty decent money. But then he fell onto drugs. His life crashed. Now he is a bum on the streets collecting a disability check of 500$ once a month. So that proves you can get far in life, but you can also hit rock bottom. My parents used to read me this book when I was 4. Then my language teacher read it to our class in 6th and 7th grade, and maybe once here, or there I read it to myself.
Well that wraps up my story on picture books. My favorite ones, oh the places you will go, the cat in the hat, and there’s a wocket in my pocket. All by dr. suess! One of the most creative minds of our time. Now that you’ve seen my story on picture books. I’d love to read yours! I hope you enjoyed my article this is the first of many blog posts I’ll probably make! hope you enjoyed reading, and thank you for taking the time to view this post! http://isaiahirwin.wordpress.com/
